Sherry (Rhoades) Miller
I went to Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri where I majored in biology.
2. What kind of work do you do? Where do you work?
I actually just finished school. I realize that we graduated from highschool almost a decade ago so this is a strange answer but apparentlygraduate school can take awhile. After I finished at Truman in 2003 Imoved to Manhattan Kansas to go to graduate school at Kansas StateUniversity. I just defended my PhD in genetics at the end of February. Now I'm looking for a teaching job.
3. Where have you lived since high-school graduation?
Kirksville, Missouri. Manhattan, Kansas. Now I live in New Albany,Indiana (right outside Louisville, Kentucky).
4. Name of significant other? How did you meet your significant other?
Brady Miller. We met in college. We had a freshman speech class together and then a year later met again when we lived in the same dorm.
5. Do you have any children? Tell us about them.
No
6. What is your favorite high-school memory?
I don't know if I have a favorite, but I have lots. Decorating the halls for homecoming, freezing at football games, attending the incredibly lame post-game dances (am I not wrong? Other schools had winter formals and Sadie Hawkins dances, we had The Backstreet Boys and colored lights at the rec center), taking our baked treats from home economics to our favorite teachers, painting senior hill, going onfloat trips, etc.
7. What did you hate most about high school?
No doubt the drama. Don't get me wrong everyone has drama (even at our age and sometimes it is even entertaining) but high school drama is the worst.
8. If you could do high school all over again, what would you do differently?
First of all I would never choose to do high school all over again. It is such an awkward time. I can't even watch reality TV about highschool (aka....MTV's Made) without cringing! I enjoyed high school at the time but if I was forced to do high school again, knowing what I know now, I'm not sure I would enjoy it as much. I suppose if I was absolutely forced to go to high school again (like at gunpoint) I would probably try more things, get involved in things outside my comfort zone, meet more people.
9. If you could, what would you change about yourself since high-school graduation?
Can't think of anything
10. What is one thing you wish you’d known ten years ago?
Life is full of adventures if you look for them. If you don't there will be far fewer.
11. What is one goal you’d like to accomplish in the next ten years?
I'd like to start a family sometime in the next ten years
12. Are you coming to the NHS reunion? If so, what are you most looking forward to?
Definitely! I can't wait to reunite with old friends and maybe make some new ones.

Mostly in Neosho, but I did live in Marshall, Mo for a year while completing an internship at a YMCA there before graduation.
4. Name of significant other? How did you meet your significant other?
I married Josh Sonis. Lets see, we met our Freshman year, he was the senior aid in weight lifting. We started dating the summer after our Sophmore year and pretty much stayed together ever since. We have been hitched almost 3 years.
5. Do you have any children? Tell us about them.
No kiddos yet. But we both look forward to being parents.
6. What is your favorite high-school memory?
There's so many, but prob the most memorable are with my closest friends: hanging out in Teresa's basement, parties at the creek, parties at Sonis', pool parties at Ruth's, I could go on.
7. What did you hate most about high school?
Gosh, can't say I absolutley hated any one thing, but Coach Alms was definately really annoying at times.
8. If you could do high school all over again, what would you do differently?
Not sure, prob just not sweat the small stuff and enjoy the times that we all had together.
9. If you could, what would you change about yourself since high-school graduation?
Prob just keep in touch better with those that moved away. Other than that I think we've all grown a lot in the past 10 years and hopefully were all happy with the expierences that we've had and where we've come since high school.
10. What is one thing you wish you’d known ten years ago?
Not sure, I guess how precious life and time really are. Not to take things for granted.
11. What is one goal you’d like to accomplish in the next ten years?
Not sure I would call it a goal, but I really look forward to having and raising a family within the next 10 years. I think thats what life is all about.
12. Are you coming to the NHS reunion? If so, what are you most looking forward to?
Absolutley! I will definately be attending and look forward to seeing everyone and catching up!

Becky (Brooks) Franklin
1. What did you do immediately after high school?
I immediately started summer classes at Missouri Southern State University and got my headstart with the math for the dumb-dumbs that didn't even count toward your degree. I wanted to be a High School English Teacher but realized how much I hated reading literature and how much I liked my Speech classes and graduated with a major in Speech Communications in 2003
2. What kind of work do you do? Marketing
3. Where do you work?
CHOICE MARKETING in Joplin, Missouri - We handle advertising for about 60 different clients in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas
4. Where have you lived since high-school graduation? Always Joplin
5. Name of significant other? Andy Franklin
6. How did you meet your significant other?
We actually met at a High School Dance at the Rec Center in 1995 (Thanks to Kendra Keeling for making me go to the dance and thanks to Sally Crocker for introducing me) but we got to know each other from sitting by each other in Wildcat Band.... Awww....band nerds
7. Do you have any children?
We FINALLY decided to take the plunge after 7 years of selfish marriage and we now have a Baby Boy that just turned 3 months old. He is the most chubby adorable baby ever. His name is Tucker Levi and we have had so much fun watching him grow and discover new things every week since he was born December 22, 2008.
8. What is your favorite high-school memory?
My favorite high school memory is probably being thrown up in the air 20 feet in cheerleading at basket ball games. I would probably only make it up about 8 feet now and end up in the ER!
9. What did you hate most about high school?
Overall I hated all the different "crowds" - I never understood why you couldn't just be friends with everyone? More specifically I hated the food and Physics
10. If you could do high school all over again, what would you do differently?
I really feel like I did everything I wanted to do and didn't do the things I didn't want any part of. No matter what anyone thinks - I really was a GOOD girl
11. If you could, what would you change about yourself since high-school graduation?
I would have managed my money a lot better. I could have had a heck of a 401K by now!
12. What is one thing you wish you’d known ten years ago?
The actual cost of college, cars, mortgages
13. What is one goal you’d like to accomplish in the next ten years? Be a great mother
Are you coming to the NHS reunion? If so, what are you most looking forward to?
YES, Party on! Catching up on everyone's careers and children
