Kendra (Keeling) Catron

1. What did you do immediately after high school?
I moved to Pittsburg, KS and attended Pittsburg State University for four years.

2. What kind of work do you do? Where do you work?
I’m a mom/ graphic designer. I stay at home with my daughter, which I love… and I also do freelance work through my company KJane Designs. I do everything from invitations and stationery to logos and advertising pieces.

3. Where have you lived since high-school graduation?
I lived in Pittsburg, KS for four years, then moved to Oklahoma City, where I’ve lived now for almost six years.

4. Name of significant other? How did you meet your significant other?
Todd Catron... We met my freshman year in college during a fraternity/sorority social event. We dated throughout college and then moved to OKC together after we graduated. We got married in December 2005.

5. Do you have any children? Tell us about them.
We have one little girl, Molly who just turned two. She is the light of my life! Getting to stay at home with her has been a treat, as I’ve watched her grow and learn. She keeps me on my toes and thoroughly entertained!

6. What is your favorite high-school memory?
This is hard, because I have so many of them! I loved hanging out with friends, in “field” parties, at Rec-Center Dances, even just driving around together …. I also loved the football games, the homecoming week events, and painting the hill!

7. What did you hate most about high school?
I hated how everything seemed so stressful, when in reality, it was the easiest time of my life!

8. If you could do high school all over again, what would you do differently?
I would have placed more importance on school and applying for scholarships…. paying back student loans isn’t much fun!

9. If you could, what would you change about yourself since high-school graduation?
I wish I’d kept in better touch with people! It’s a little sad to me that the people I literally grew up with haven’t been in my life for the last ten years…. I hope to change that in the next ten!

10. What is one thing you wish you’d known ten years ago?
To stop worrying about the future and enjoy life in the present moment.

11. What is one goal you’d like to accomplish in the next ten years?
Find more people to help with the 20-year reunion!!!!

12. Are you coming to the NHS reunion? If so, what are you most looking forward to?
Definitely! Planning this reunion has made me so excited to attend, and I’ve enjoyed reconnecting with everyone as I’ve gathered emails, collected surveys and posted old pictures on our website! I hope we have a great turnout because it truly will be a night to remember!
